Our purpose

From startup to industry

MEV combines the innovation of a startup with the technical and operational capabilities of an established manufacturer. We develop vehicle electrification technologies focused on real-world applications, reliability and scalability.

Our products build on hands-on experience gained through major electrification projects. Over the years, they have been tested, refined and proven in the field, becoming robust, reliable solutions ready for the market.

2013-2020
Ampera Racing
From 2013 to 2020, André, Thiago and Matheus were members of the Formula SAE Electric team at the Federal University of Santa Catarina, UFSC. Ampera was where it all began: the future partners met, built six electric vehicle prototypes and went on to establish two startups, MVP e-Solutions and Swap-e.
2020 - 2024
MVP e-Solutions | Consulting
MVP was founded in 2020 by André Venzon, Thiago Motta and Gustavo Pereira. The AutoTech initially provided engineering consulting and outsourced R&D services for vehicle electrification projects. One of its highlights was developing control components and algorithms for the e-Sys electric axle, designed by Suspensys, part of the Randon Group, for trailers and semitrailers.
2022
Swap-e | Electric Celta Retrofit
Swap-e was founded in 2022 by Matheus Maia, André Andrade, Vitor Veiga and Walter Maia Júnior. The AutoTech began in a home garage, converting a Chevrolet Celta owned by one of the founders’ grandfathers into an electric vehicle. The “Celtinha Elétrico” has since traveled more than 11,000 km and become a recognizable symbol of Brazilian electric mobility, gaining widespread attention on social media and receiving thousands of messages in support of the company.
2023
Hybrid Mining Haul Truck
In 2023, MVP developed a 1.2 MW buck-boost converter for the traction system and battery integration of a hybrid mining haul truck operated by U&M Mineração e Construção S.A. The project included the development of both the converter hardware and its control software.
2024
Electric Van - Retrofit
In 2024, Swap-e and MVP unveiled the Electric Fiorino at ABLA Expo, Latin America’s largest vehicle rental industry event. Designed for last-mile fleets, the electrified van was the first conversion of its kind focused specifically on fleet applications. The project brought together partners including Hawk Transportes, BS2 Seguros, E-Wolf, WeCharge, ZMATCH, Kairós Cervejaria, Dressler BPO and Fueltech.
2025
MEV | Merger of MVP & Swap-e
In 2025, the two AutoTech companies joined forces to launch a new brand. MEV was created to accelerate vehicle electrification in Brazil, addressing a gap in the mobility market with locally developed automotive technology. Building on the experience of MVP and Swap-e, MEV focuses on developing and supplying components and solutions for vehicle manufacturers and fleet operators.
